The Alcorn's Pocket Gopher (Pappogeomys alcorni) is a species of rodent in the Geomyidae family. It is endemic to Mexico. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry lowland grassland and arable land. They are usually found on mountain slopes and plains (910-3,010 m ) and are reported as causing considerable damage to corn and bean fields and are considered to be a threatened species.[2]
